With an epic beer mural at his heart, George Floyd is looking forward to returning to the action with a new mural at the corner of Victoria and Broadway in downtown Melbourne.
A new mural will be unveiled at the intersection of Victoria Street and Broadway on Thursday.
“It’s a bit of a shock to be honest,” Mr Floyd said.
“I think it’s really going to be an exciting thing for the city of Melbourne to see that mural.”
Mr Floyd’s work has also become a local tourist attraction.
“There’s a lot of history here, people remember the old Victoria Street mural and the beer,” he said.
The mural is expected to cost $60,000.
Mr Floyd said the work was “very, very ambitious” and had “a lot of elements of it” that would not be visible to the public.
“They’ve also got the water colour in there, so it’s going to look very, very cool,” he joked.
“But I think it’ll look really beautiful too.”
The city of Victoria is also working with Mr Floyd to put the mural on display.
